I am excited to announce my next business venture. This is the first process I have not rushed. I started the journey of creating my own spa beauty line back in the fall. I desired to bring something to the boutique that was completely original. I love carrying clothing, bohemian jewelry and doing yoga but I wanted to give women the ability to indulge in a product that was luxurious, something they felt special wearing every day and every person no matter their body type could enjoy.
When I first started this journey I needed to educate myself on products and the ingredients that made the products I desired. I wanted to start with hand lotion. I myself love receiving as a gift or indulging myself in beautiful hand lotion. There is nothing that makes me feel more pampered than soft feminine hands.
There was so much to learn! I thought at first all you needed was a few ingredients and blend them together. But to get the perfect results I desired, there was so many other steps! I wanted lotion that did not feel greasy but still left your hands soft and moisturized. I tried numerous combinations of products to get the perfect formula I loved. When I bought the products to mix I wanted to insure that the company I used was American based and did not test on animals. I am happy to say I finally got exactly what I wanted! My hand lotion line is not tested on animals and is also vegan!
The next step was developing custom fragrances. I started with Blush and Cherish. Blush has key notes of peonies, fresh watery pear and sheer freesia. Cherish is softer with key notes of rich, creamy vanilla and soft musk. I have many more custom fragrances coming soon but these were my first masterpieces!
Now the hardest part for me was choosing the packaging. There are literally millions of options from colored bottles, jars, glass and all different sizes. I finally choose a bottle that can easily be put on a shelf for decoration or a desk for use throughout the day. I also chose a squirt lid to make it super easy for any user to quickly and easily get their moisture.
The last step was where my creative side really came in. I have been developing my skills in Photoshop, graphic design and photography. I created this label in Photoshop. I wanted the label to reflect the feeling of simple luxury.
I hope you take the chance to enjoy these lotions!
